Jim and Marie King have struggled for years with finding decent and affordable housing for themselves and their 5 daughters.
The Kings worked with Josh Trent, Frontier’s Communities and Design Division Director, to pick out suitable property and an ENERGY STAR home design that would suit their family’s needs.
Finally, the Kings are able to spend more money on raising their five active girls and less on utility bills and substandard rentals.

Kentucky’s New Home Tax Credit Still in Effect.

Kentucky’s New Home Tax Credit continues to be in effect; after July 25, 2009 and before July 26, 2010.

The New Home Tax Credit is a nonrefundable credit, up to $5000, against individual income tax allowable to a qualified buyer, provided a cap of $25,000,000 for all approved New Home Tax Credits has not been met.

In Morehead, Kentucky, staff and volunteers of NeighborWorks member organization Frontier Housing, are still hard at work meeting the immediate needs of their residents at Boodry Place, where the entire first floor structure and contents were damaged or destroyed.
